- I was born and raised in Northern Ireland, but left to go to college at BYU. There I graduated with a Major in International Relations and Minors in Europen Studies and the German Language. I took a break in my studies to serve a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of which I am a member. Upon my return and graduation I married my patient, loving husband who I am always striving to make an Irish Man of of lol. He's got the accent down, but he's still american to the core and I love him all the more for it.I am currently a full-time mum to Samantha and Sophie and we spend our days in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Although I announce to Deldon every 2-3 months that I have had enough of my kids and am going back to work, there is a conviction deep deep inside me that knows this is where I need to be and who I need to be - a mum who is always there for her girls! Hence no job outside the four walls of my home for the foreseeable future.

Thanks, Karen. I don't know why they would target our Church out of so many. Maybe because it is still politically correct to attack us. Hopefully Prop 8 passes tonight.
We all know it will be a harder and harder thing to be a member of this Church in the latter days. I just hope I can instill courage and conviction in my children so they can face the ever-growing animosity. I hadn't any idea of the ad or the Church's statement.
